Mildmay Institute runs a Laboratory Training programme which is designed to develop skills in investigative and diagnostic Laboratory practice for both advanced and lower level laboratories.

MIHS School of Lab Training

Courses of study guide the student to adopt the required professional attitudes and approaches. Content delivery and examination is guided by the ministry of education and sports curriculum.

Competencies are developed in critical areas such as Microbiology, Parasitology, Clinical chemistry, Haematology, Immunohaematology, Histopathology, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Socio-Psychology, Primary Health Care, Information Communication Technology (ICT), General Laboratory Methods, Laboratory Management, Entrepreneurship, First Aid And Research Methods.

Assignments, Practical work, Research Projects, Lectures and Attachments are used to build student’s competencies. The course is examined by the Uganda allied health Examination Board.
